About Gelateria Luna

Gelateria Luna started as a gelato counter and grew from there. The daily work of making gelato in small batches - adjusting recipes with the season, working out which flavours hold their texture, deciding when a fruit is ripe enough to use - is the foundation of everything else we do.

The classes came out of conversations at the counter. Customers wanted to understand what they were eating, and some wanted to be able to make it at home. We set up a teaching kitchen and started with a single beginner class. The sorbet workshop followed because sorbet has its own logic - fewer ingredients, different technique, and a good option for anyone avoiding dairy.

Private tastings and kids' birthday parties are a different kind of session. The tasting is a slower, more guided experience, working through a selection of flavours with notes on what makes each one work. The birthday parties are straightforward and popular: children make their own gelato, they eat it, and the birthday child takes a kit home. It is a practical party format that does not require a lot of setup on the parents' side.

The take-home kits and extra tubs at the counter are there for people who want to continue at home or who want to bring something back for someone who could not come in. The kits contain everything needed for two flavours and come with a recipe card.

If you have a question about booking or want to discuss a larger private event, you can reach us at info@gelateria-luna.demo. The counter is open daily at Västerlånggatan 27, 111 29 Stockholm.
